Job Description:
Are you a highly skilled electrician who thrives on extreme ownership and building high-performing teams?
Do you take pride not only in your own flawless installations, but in coaching junior electricians to meet that same elite standard?
We are Colorado's leading expert in comprehensive building efficiency—from residential electrification and natural cooling to energy audits and insulation. As a local, family-owned, and veteran-operated company based in Lakewood, we pride ourselves on a culture of respect, dependability, and high-performance execution.
We are looking for a dedicated Working Electrical Foreman (Journeyman or Master) to be our technical commander in the field. This is not a desk job. This is a 75/25 hybrid leadership role where you will spend 75% of your time with your tools on—executing complex single and multi-family (light commercial) services directly alongside a junior electrician to coach them in real-time—and 25% of your time planning jobs, auditing work, and mentoring a crew of 4-6 licensed electricians and apprentices.
If you are ready to take accountability for a team, enforce the standard, and get rewarded for your leadership and efficiency, this is your new home.
Compensation & Rewards
We reward leadership, efficiency, and excellence with total transparency. Target earnings for this role are $90,000 - $120,000+ annually, structured to reward execution and quality.
- Highly Competitive Base Wage: $45.00 - $58.00+ per hour (based on experience and license level). Drivers of hourly compensation are a total of:
- Hourly Wage: 35-45 hours per week at your base wage.
- Performance & Leadership Incentives: Lucrative, structured bonuses tied to your crew's quality of work, field efficiency, and first-time inspection pass rates.
- Master of Record Premium: Substantial set annual bonuses and elevated per-permit incentives available if you hold a Master license and step into the legal "Supervisor of Record" role for the company.
Why Leaders Join Us
- Veteran-Operated Culture: We run on clear communication, extreme ownership, and standard operating procedures. We treat our team like family and our customers like neighbors.
- The 75/25 Split: You won't lose your edge. You will stay actively engaged in the craft while simultaneously developing the next generation of tradespeople.
- Autonomy & Trust: You drive a fully stocked, take-home Service Van (gas card included); you have the independence to execute the mission your way, provided it meets our elite standards.
Your Mission
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you are the technical authority and the face of our craftsmanship.
- Command the Job Site: Execute complex single and multi-family installations with absolute precision. You will always be paired with a junior electrician in the field, allowing you to lead by example and coach them in real-time. Your primary mission is strict code compliance, unwavering safety, and ensuring a 100% first-time pass rate on all inspections for your entire crew.
- Coach & Mentor (25%): Assess the skills of your 4-6 direct reports. Plan their training, audit their works, and aggressively mentor other electricians to elevate the overall capability of the department.
- Enforce the Standard: Demand meticulous organization. You believe a clean van and organized tools are the foundation of a good day's work, and you hold your crew to that exact same expectation.
- Pre-Job Planning: Arrive at pre-sold jobs fully prepared. Review the scope of work thoroughly, ensure all materials are accounted for, and deploy your technicians seamlessly for maximum efficiency on both single-family homes and multi-family complexes.
Role Performance Metrics
- Crew Profitability & Field Efficiency: Consistently guiding your team to complete pre-sold residential and light commercial jobs efficiently and on budget to maximize departmental revenue.
- QA/QC & Inspection Pass Rate: Achieving a 100% first-time pass rate on municipal inspections across all your direct reports and maintaining a near-zero callback rate. We do it right the first time.
- Apprentice Progression: Tangible advancement in the technical skills and independence of the junior electricians under your command.
Who We Are Looking For
We hire on values first. We are looking for a highly accountable professional who is Responsible, Dependable, Respectful, and Thorough.
The Essentials:
- Licensure: Valid Colorado Journeyman or Master Electrician License. (Note: We are not considering RW candidates for this specific role).
- Leadership Mindset: Previous experience acting as a Foreman, Lead Tech, or Crew Leader. You must be comfortable giving direct feedback, holding others accountable, and teaching the "why" behind the code.
- Technical Mastery: Elite understanding of residential and light commercial electrical systems (single-family service changes, multi-family panel swaps, troubleshooting), clean installations, and current NEC codes.
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable using an iPad for dispatching, reviewing job scopes, and taking meticulous job notes. Experience with Service Titan or similar field management software is a major plus.
